The Fourth Module "Communication for Trust" within the Framework of the Project "100 Champions"

On May 30-31, 2018 at the premises of the Hennadiy Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine the fourth module of the project "Champions 100" was held.

This course is called "Communication for Trust" and is aimed at mastering the skills of the participants, which will promote strengthening of public confidence in state institutions and strengthening of democratic accountability is aimed at mastering the skills of the participants, which will promote strengthening of public confidence in state institutions and strengthening of democratic accountability through reliable and consistent communication, based on the principles of ethics.

The Director of Hennadiy Udovenko Diplomatic Academy Sergey KORSUNSKIY  opened the event and congratulated the participants of the module as well as wished fruitful work in the groups.

Head of the Expert Group on NATO Cooperation with the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers  Oleksiy GENCHEV presented his welcome speech and called for active cooperation.

Director of the Centre for Strategic Communications Alina FROLOVA and Deputy Head of the Ukraine-NATO Professional Development Programme Olesya KOMPANIYETS also presented their welcome speeches.

Senior Advisor Strategic Communications Programme for the provision of foreign advisers to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Michael KLEYMAN presented a speech on "Coordination and cooperation: how to communicate strategically at the interdepartmental level".

During two days, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the theoretical part on the topic «NATO Strategic Communications», presented by Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center and Barbora MARONKOVA, Director of the Centre for Strategic Communications Alina FROLOVA and Head of the Information Security Department of the National Security and Defense Council Valentyn PETROV. In addition, the participants of the event joined the implementation of the practical task, in particular, they formulated reports on cooperation between NATO and Ukraine, following the concept of strategic communications. The aim of practical part was to develop practical skills for the formation and transmission of communications on cooperation between NATO and Ukraine.

As a result of work in groups, participants introduced presentations on the received topics.

Deputy Director of NATO Information and Documentation Center Victoria CIIMINITE and Deputy Head of the Ukraine-NATO Professional Development Programme Olesya KOMPANIYETS thanked the participants for their active participation in the event.

On behalf of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union the Senior Consultant of Twinning Coordination Division of the Projects Management Unit Yuliia Yerchenko attended the event.

100 Champions Programme is a training course consisting of distinct modules and it is implemented under the NATO–Ukraine Programme for Professional Development of Civilian Personnel in the Security and Defence Sector.

The course is aimed at professional development of civilian personnel of government authorities responsible for Euro-Atlantic integration, which involves gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful preparation and implementation of Annual National Programmes and other strategic documents in the sphere of Euro-Atlantic integration.
