Results of the study visit of Algerian delegation

On February 19, 2010 a study visit of Aissa Zelmati, Director of the Programme management unit Support to implementation of the Algerian-EU Association Agreement Programme and Djamal Belhoul, Technical assistance team leader of the Support Programme to the Association Agreement Implementation was completed.

 

During five days of staying in Ukraine Aissa Zelmati and Djamal Belhoul met with representatives of Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, National Academy of Public Administration of Ukraine, National Electricity Regulatory Commission of Ukraine, National Space Agency of Ukraine responsible for implementation of Twinning projects and with Resident Twinning Advisers of Twinning projects "Support to the Strengthening of Road Freight and Passengers Transport Safety", "Introduction and Development of Quality Management within the Ukrainian Police", “Support to the Development and Improvement of the Civil Servants Training System in Ukraine”, “Boosting Ukrainian space cooperation with the European Union”.

During these meetings they discussed the experience of preparation and implementation of Twinning projects, and the positive achievements and impact of projects on relevant areas of public administration.

In addition, on February 19, 2010 Algerian delegation attended press conference of the Twinning Light project “Harmonizing the Ukraine's Official Statistics with the EU Statistical Standards through Introducing New Indicators into the Macroeconomic and Structural Business Statistics and Checking the Impartiality of Self-Assessment of Performance of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine” of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

Results of the study visit were summed up on February 19 at a meeting with the Deputy Director of Twinning Programme Administration Office Nataliya Kyrychenko.
