Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Valeriy Pyatnytsky explained general issues in this context. Deputy Head of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine Vitaliy Bashynsky and Deputy Director of the Department of State Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance Alla Grygorenko acted on the sanitary and phitosanitary issues. About non-tariff barriers reported Deputy Head of the State Committee of Ukraine for technical regulation and consumer policy Leonid Vitkin and Deputy Director of the State Department for Adaptation of Legislation Taras Kachka. The issue of the geographical indication was presented by Head of the State Department of Intellectual property of Ukraine Mykola Paladiy.

During the meeting issue concerning establishing of sole authority responsible for sanitary and phitosanitary norms was discussed.

Also Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Serhiy Kucheruk informed about Twinning project for the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine.
