Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union took part in the ceremony of Twinning Project closure

On 17 March 2010 director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Sergiy Kucheruk took part in the ceremony of Twinning Project “Introduction and Development of Quality Management within the Ukrainian Police” closure which took place in the premises of Ministry of Interior of Ukraine.

The event was organized with aim of summing up and presentation of achieved results in the course of Project implementation during the last 18 months.

During the event representatives of the Ministry expressed gratitude to the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine for provided support and assistance in Twinning project realization.
 
In turn director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Sergiy Kucheruk took floor and handed in the rewards of Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine to key participants of the project.
 
The other participants of event were Deputy Minister of Interior of Ukraine Vasyl Marmazov, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, Ambassador of France to Ukraine Jacques Faure, Colonel Mykola Mishakin, project leader from France Stephani Buanar.
 
Information. This Twinning project became the first in Ukraine implemented by enforcement institutions. There were seven components to be realized in the framework of project, in particular the most important was training and implementation of socially oriented police (around 300 officers were trained and 20 trainers). Another important component concerned elaboration of legislation, namely draft code of ethics.
 
Positive output of Twinning project realization was also beginning of new Twinning “Support to the improvement of the system of public order protection by the interior troops of Ministry of Interior of Ukraine” which is logical continuation of first one.
