The study tour to exchange experience on the Twinning, TAIEX and Sigma institution building instruments took place in the framework of the Implementation of Twinning Operations in Ukraine (ITO) EC-Tacis project.

During the study tour, meetings with representatives of the Secretariat for EU Affairs, Ministry of Transport and Communication of Turkey, the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company, and the Turkish National Police were organised. The Ukrainian delegation learned about the specific features of the implementation of the European Commission’s institution building instruments in Turkey. Turkish colleagues shared their experience in using Twinning, TAIEX and Sigma in the areas that are of current priority to Ukraine.

Study tour participants included Serhiy Budnyk, Deputy Head of DAI and Valeriy Tsaplin, Head of the Strategic Planning and Energy Markets Development Department of NERC. From the Center / PAO in the study tour participated Twinning Project Managers Natalia Kyrychenko and Valentyna Afanasyeva, TAIEX Project Manager Vasyl Belmeha, as well as Svitlana Repik, Chief Consultant of the TAIEX Coordination Sector.
