The round table discussion under the title Modernization of Public Administration and Civil Service, on the Way to Democratic Management

On May 21, 2010 in the conference hall of the School for Senior Civil Service the round table discussion under the title Modernization of Public Administration and Civil Service, on the Way to Democratic Management dedicated to the Conception of the State Target Program on Public Administration and Civil Service Reform took place. 

 
The Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine Tymofiy Motrenko in his welcome address pointed out the main goal of the event and asked all the participants to be sincere while considering the Conception. Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Yuriy Arsentyev admitted that in order to carry out an efficient reform everybody should realize the purpose of its implementation. The Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine as the central executive body should not implement administrative reform by its own. During the meeting there were discussed issues on completeness and accuracy of the problems, interdependence between different components of the reform. The indexes of the reform success were also considered.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Zinoviy Mytnyk, the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Serhiy Melnyk, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine Volodymyr Matviychuk, the Head of the Foundation for Support to Local Self-Government of Ukraine Mykola Puhtynsky, the expert of the Civil Service Development Program Project for 2011 – 2015 Oleksandr Baranov, Executive Director of the International Renaissance Foundation Oleksandr Betsa, the Team Leader of the Ukrainian Civil Service Human Resource Management Reform Project Larissa Bezo, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine Andriy Vyshnevsky, Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Serhiy Kucheruk, Director of the School for Senior Civil Service Tetyana Kovtun and other representatives of central executive bodies took part in the meeting.
