Microsoft Summit on Virtualization

On June 2, 2010 Head of the e-governance Unit of Center for adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Yuriy Schepotko attended Microsoft Summit on Virtualization.

 
The main topic for discussion at the event was the virtualization of applications, jobs, and data centers. The event was attended by representatives of leading IT-companies: IDC Ukraine, Intel, Hewlett Packard, Softline and others. 

Summit participants discussed several issues for reducing of costs of maintenance information systems (saving capital and operating costs) to ensure continuation of business processes, improve resource efficiency (increase productivity of IT-staff, reducing the time required for recovery after system crash) by using virtualization.
