Director of the Center participates in the First annual All-Ukrainian public hearing “Political and Legal Framework for the Civil Service and Service in Local Self-Government Bodies"

On September 24, 2009, the First annual All-Ukrainian public hearing “Political and Legal Framework for the Civil Service and Service in Local Self-Government Bodies» started at the premises of Odessa National Law Academy, in the city of Odessa. Among the hearing’s participants are the Head of the MDCSU, Tymofiy Motrenko, Director of the Center for Adapation of the Civil Service of Ukraine to the Standards of the European Union, Tetiana Kovtun, First Deputy of the Center, Oleksandr Saenko,among others.

The opening ceremony was attended by Timofiy Motrenko, the Head of Odessa Regional State Adminisration, Mykola Serdyk, the Head of Odessa Regional Council, Mykola Skoryk, and the President of Odessa National Law Academy, Serhiy Kivalov.

The aim of the event is to define political and legal instruments in order to provide legal framework for public administration in the sphere of civil service and service in local self-government authorities, to develop proposals concerning the practical use of legal instruments on the way of adaptation of public administration to EU standards by government bodies.

All-Ukrainian public hearing was launched with a plenary session where representatives of central executive government bodies had an opportunity to speak.

All-Ukrainian hearing will be held from 25 to 26 September, 2009.
