On December 11, 2009 Andriy Vyshnevsky, the Deputy Head of the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine and Serhiy Kucheruk, the Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of European Union participated in the Conference “Monitoring and evaluation for better government: challenges and opportunities” organised on the occasion of “The EU Support to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement Implementation Project” completion in the Hotel “Opera”.

On December 10, 2009 the discussion on the Roadmap for the Development of a Human Resources Information system for the Ukrainian Civil Service conducted by the Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine Tymofiy Motrenko took place. The main goal of the meeting was to get the feedback and to discuss commentaries on the Roadmap in order to confirm further steps of mutual collaboration on technical project of the above mentioned system.

Senior managers from the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, the Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to the Standards of European Union and the School for Senior Civil Service together with the representatives from Ukrainian Civil Service Human Resource Management Project took part in the meeting.

On December, 8, 2009 Tymofiy Motrenko, the Head of the MDCSU encountered with José Manuel Pinto Teixeira, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine the venue of the meeting was the office of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. The aim of the meeting was consideration current and future cooperation in the framework of appliance the Twinning, ТАІЕХ and SIGMA Operations. 

On December 7th, 2009 the Deputy Head of the MDCSU Andriy Vyshnevskiy participated in the round table “Estimation of authorities potential according to execution of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU ”. The action led by Director of the Coordination Bureau on European and EuroAtlantic Integration of Ukraine of  the Secretariat of  the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Vadym Trukhan.

On January 22, 2010 the second day of International forum “On the way to the service state” under the chairmanship of Tymofiy Motrenko, Head of the MDCSU passed.

On January 21, 2010, under the chairmanship of Tymofiy Motrenko, Head of the MDCSU the first day of two-day international forum “On the way to the service state” was held in premise of the School of Senior Civil Service.

On January, 20, 2010 the working meeting in frameworks of the general meeting between the Head of MDCSU Tymofiy Motrenko and the staff of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standarts of the European Union were held.

On January, 15, 2010, in the premise of the Delegation of the European Union in Ukraine the video-conference of the 1-st sitting of the Joint Committee at Senior Officials level on implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agenda.

 On January, 12, 2010, the Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of  Ukraine Tymofiy Motrenko took part in the sitting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defence, , Judicial Policy and Legislative Support of Law Enforsement, during the sitting he reported about a project of Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” (revised).

On January, 12, 2010 in premise of the GOV Building the efficient meeting in the framework of the Ukrainian part of Ukraine-EU Cooperation Committee was held.

Issues on preparation to the video-conference of the first meeting of the Joint Committee at senior officials level on implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agenda, the first official meeting of the Joint Committee at senior officials level and organization of the work of the Ukrainian part according to the EU-Ukraine Association Agenda were discussed during the meeting.

Gender equality in civil service

The National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter - NAUCS) implements a number of measures to ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men and to overcome all forms of discrimination based on gender. Subpoint 7 of paragraph 1 of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” as of December 10, 2015 No. 889-VIII defines that one of the principles of civil service is to ensure equal access to civil service, that is, the prohibition of all forms and manifestations of discrimination, the absence of unreasonable restrictions or providing unjustified advantages to certain categories of citizens during entry and completion of civil service.
